Thsi was the first time I used apoxie clay (thanks goes out to Woosie for turning me onto it.
I tell you what, Apoxie clay is some great stuff!! Hand sculpted painted and sealed. The pony was given a more traditional lions tail, sculpted hair and royal blue color. The base was built up with layers of foil and clay, then meticulously sanded down to a soft rounding shape painted with veriouse florals in the tapestry style and sealed. Even the posts had to be hand fashioned from two glue dowls (I can't tell you how much I was wishing I had a drill to make those holes) and wired with shadped brase wire to create the fence. I tried my best to work with the limitations of the toys pose to recreate the scene of the captive unicorn. I say it worked out well enough. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
